Hatyai, Songkhla Festival

This trip to Hatyai is so much fun! Though a few of them can't make it to this trip but still, it was FUN~
Not sure whether we are lucky or unclucky, the time we went to Hatyai, was just few weeks after the bomb incident at Lee Gardens Hotel, but we planned the trip much earlier before that, we was supposed to go last semester, but postponed many times...and finally we decided the date! Coincidently, it was Songkhla Festval the day we went there! I never thought that i have this chance to see how the festive was~ i knew it will be fun but never had the chance to experinced it, until this trip to Hatyai! :)

on our way to Bukit Kayu Hitam from Sungai Petani

Taking the Van to Hatyai from the border of Thailand.

Michelle, Mary & Me

super crowded with peoples at the kastam
This was what we saw once we reached Hatyai~ these kids were getting geared up for Songkhla!

You can see this everywhere at the road side! they prepared such a huge water tank for their water supply~

pity little car splashed by the water + powder mixture

This is even funny~ He got himself a mask for Songkhla~

We were still inside our van to witness all these at that point of time...and wondering how are we supposed to go into the hotel without getting WET?

Refilling their water guns! water were provided free anywhere!

Stalls selling water guns everywhere

See, everyone is getting ready with their water to attack

Finally, we are almost reaching our hotel! but saw this scene....There was no where to escape...

Stalls were set up for the festival~ Lucky us because we get to have a try on the special foods  during this festival

The "yellow" team~

Saw this reSStaurant "KELANTAN" in Hatyai...

the very happening area, which is in front of Lee Gardens and our Hotel-Grand Plaza Hotel

That is the bubble forming machine~ bubbles+ water!!!! oh its so hard for us to stand still at the floor because it was too slippery

Bill & Nai Hui, we were still on our way heading to the hotel's entrance, but already getting wet...

 Peace!

upon Arrival~

Haha...Nai Hui was already attacked before reaching the hotel~

The view up from our hotel~ so happening! and musics along! Everyone was having fun!

Michael was the first one being splashed with one whole bowl of water once exit the hotel! and i was the second after her~ they use ICE COOL water made me get freeze!!

getting ready for the water war! the yellow thing hanging on my neck is the water resistant pouch~ each of us a have one to put our HPs and $ to keep them dry~

Michelle with her weapon! and raincoat! so cute~

Foods, the soup base was so damn nice~ almost for every soup it was made with pork! I miss those foods!

there is pork everywhere~

very yummy!! fried rice with PORK

yes i love this! but this one was a lil too spicy~
rice wrapped with egg~

baby pineapples

huge sausages
these are so cheap! 15 baht only each~

this tasted like different from the usual corn, similar as the taste of the red colour rice
water boxing competition

this is too bad....They seriously need more engineers @_@

sitting inside the 'TUT TUT'  heading for some show~

Kueh Chap

Ready cooked Bird nests

Bird nest soup with Ginko~ good for skin! 100 baht, should have more!

Bakuteh! nice!

Anne's beef noodle

The Chiang Mai Peanuts

fruits therein Hatyai were so large and fresh~

beautiful grapes!
big tomatoes

the very huge apple! expensive too....279 baht!

Mary insisted me to birng her to see the apple after i told her how huge it was!
went to eat this fast food, they serve pork and that's the reason we ate there! Not bad too!

The portion for their foods are quite large

except this one, among everything we ordered, this was the smallest....SAD face~

our VIP seats for watching show

they are more beautiful than ladies!!

Attack of aqua!!! Nai Hui was the "lucky" one! he was kissed! but i couldn't took a proper photo because it was all out of sudden and i was sitting just next to him, it's too near for me to take photo for the whole picture since my camera was zooming very far to the stage at that time.
Guess he had nightmare after that! LOL~

the end of the show

This was how we spend our last baht... dunno what else to buy and where to go at the last day morning, so we end up buying cakes to eat~ but this was not so nice.

the desert we ate, full of wonders. this cost 50 baht
This was how it looks after Songkhla, people cleaning up the streets for the rubbish and water....

I really enjoyed the trip, Thanks God all of us came back safe!
Hopefully in future there is chance for us to join Songkhla festival again! that time i will be fully geared up with raincoats and waterguns to join the water war!
